An innovative and fast-growing technology company that specialises in cutting-edge AI in the medical industry is seeking an Infrastructure Automation & Support Engineer to help build and maintain the technical foundations that support advanced data science and software engineering teams.
This role combines infrastructure automation, systems administration, and user support, working closely with engineers and technical specialists to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable systems.
You will play a key role in automating infrastructure, improving internal tooling, and supporting a technically sophisticated user base across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities are:
Infrastructure Automation
- Design and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Develop automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to reduce manual processes
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
- Promote automation best practices and version-controlled infrastructure
Identity & Access Management
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including access policies and identity management
- Implement automated user lifecycle processes and role-based access control
- Support security automation and compliance initiatives
Platform & Systems Management
- Manage collaboration and productivity tools such as Microsoft 365 and Slack
- Support and maintain Mac-based laptop environments and mobile device management systems
- Monitor backups, system performance, and operational health
- Evaluate and implement new tools to support engineering workflows
User Enablement & Support
- Support onboarding of new staff and ensure systems are correctly configured
- Troubleshoot issues across devices, applications, and cloud infrastructure
- Maintain documentation, knowledge bases, and self-service resources
- Act as a trusted technical partner to users across the organisation
Continuous Improvement
- Resolve complex technical issues using structured troubleshooting methods
- Maintain system documentation and operational procedures
- Contribute to capacity planning and ongoing infrastructure improvements
Key Skills & Experience
- Experience managing IT infrastructure in a technology-driven environment
- Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
- Administration of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) and collaboration tools
- Experience supporting Mac environments and device management platforms
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience using Git and modern development workflows
- Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple systems and platforms
