Front-End Developer
Guernsey, Jersey or UK · Permanent
Our client is a fast-growing Microsoft ISV with a global team, offering a SaaS platform that helps organisations govern, optimise, and monitor their Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. They are looking for an experienced Front-End Developer to take a leading role in the user experience of their cloud optimisation platform.
You will work within the Engineering function, reporting to the Head of Development and collaborating closely with Product Management and UX. The role has a deliberate design bias — we want someone who will own and grow the design system and bring their own point of view on interaction and visual design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain responsive, accessible Angular applications in TypeScript
- Build features across multiple product lines using enterprise component suites — data grids, charts, dashboards, and schedulers
- Own and evolve the design system: shared component library, design tokens, theming, typography, and spacing
- Translate Figma designs into production code, pushing back constructively where a design won't survive real data or edge cases
- Work directly with Product Management and UX through discovery, wireframing, prototyping, and usability feedback
- Make dense financial and operational data understandable through dashboards, drill-downs, filtering, and export flows
- Deliver front-end performance at scale — virtual scrolling, lazy loading, efficient change detection
- Consume and help shape RESTful APIs, collaborating with backend engineers on payload and aggregation design
- Build in accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA), responsive behaviour, and cross-browser support from the outset
- Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to front-end architecture decisions
- Participate in code and design reviews, and mentor colleagues on front-end craft
Essential Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional front-end development experience
- Deep proficiency with Angular and TypeScript, including RxJS and reactive patterns
- Strong HTML5 and modern CSS — Flexbox, Grid, custom properties, and SCSS
- Demonstrable experience building or maintaining a design system or shared component library
- Strong UX sensibility, with examples of work where you shaped the experience, not just the implementation
- Fluency with Figma and a track record of working closely with designers
- Experience presenting complex, high-volume data — data grids, charts, dashboards, and filtering
- State management experience (NgRx, Signals, or equivalent)
- Front-end testing experience (Jest, Jasmine, Cypress, or Playwright)
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the self-direction to thrive in a remote-first team
Highly Desirable
- Experience with enterprise Angular component suites (e.g. Syncfusion, Kendo UI, AG Grid)
- Storybook and visual regression tooling
- Ability to design as well as build — wireframing, prototyping, and contributing to design files
- Experience with data visualisation libraries (D3, Chart.js, or Highcharts)
- Background in multi-tenant B2B SaaS product development
- Experience with Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes
- FinOps, cloud cost management, or Microsoft 365/Azure billing domain knowledge
