Our client, one of the leading insurance providers in the Channel Islands, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join their team. You will help turn data into meaningful insights that drive business performance across functions including Claims, Underwriting, Finance, and Operations.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel
Collecting, validating, and analysing data from a variety of business sources
Assisting with the production of regular management information and performance reporting
Identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities through data analysis
Working with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting requirements
Helping to ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports and systems
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights
Undertaking ad hoc analysis and project work as required

What You'll Need

A qualification in, or working towards, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Finance, or a related field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to communicate information clearly to a range of audiences
A proactive approach and willingness to learn

Nice to Have

Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting tools
Knowledge of SQL or data querying techniques
Previous experience working with large datasets
An understanding of insurance or financial services
An interest in data visualisation and business intelligence
