Platform Migration Project | Data Engineering

Our client is embarking on an exciting platform transformation and is seeking a Platform Migration Consultant to help build the foundation of a new, modern cloud data platform.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you’ll play a key part in designing, building, and enabling a scalable data environment to support business-critical reporting and analytics.

You’ll work across three key areas:

Data Platform Build

  • Design and implement a cloud data lake using Azure Databricks and ADLS
  • Define structured data layers (bronze, silver, gold) for ingestion through to reporting
  • Establish data governance, naming conventions, and access controls

Data Engineering & Integration

  • Build robust data pipelines and API integrations using Python
  • Develop scalable transformation logic using PySpark / Spark
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and testing across pipelines

Analytics & Reporting Enablement

  • Create curated datasets to support business reporting
  • Design analytics-ready data models (fact/dimension structures)
  • Support dashboard development in Power BI (or similar)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and validate KPIs

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on data engineering experience (not purely architectural)
  • Proven experience building production-grade data pipelines
  • Expertise in Azure Databricks, Python & PySpark, Azure Data Lake (ADLS), REST API integrations
  • Experience with data modelling and BI/reporting layers
  • Understanding of data governance and best practices
